School trips and activities

If you're looking for an experience for your students that will develop their skills, build their confidence and give them the experience of a lifetime, you can't miss Taupo Kayaking Adventures (TKA).

At TKA we specialise in guided kayaking tours of Lake Taupo – combining the natural wonder of New Zealand's largest lake with the sense of adventure that lies within us all.

We enjoy taking students out on the water, and can guarantee their time with us will be both entertaining and educational. We have a wide range of exciting and unique trips and activities that will have them buzzing.

All of our guides are certified and experienced, and have a wealth of water-safety knowledge to pass on. We'll teach all students the basics of kayaking, including how to hold a paddle, how to use life jackets, and how to turn and accelerate.

Whether it's for a whole day or even just for an hour, the confidence they build, the safety skills they develop, and the fun they have on the water will stay with them forever.

We can cater to groups of just about any size, so get in touch with Taupo Kayaking Adventures for your next school trip, and we'll help you create your very own adventure.

We offer more than just kayaking trips – we offer memories that will last a lifetime.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award introduces young people to exciting, positive, challenging and enjoyable things to do in their free time. Kayaking is a great way to fulfil the requirements for this award, and we look forward to helping many schools to achieve this.

Our guides are very experienced and skilled sea kayakers with a personal commitment and passion for conservation and kayaking. Their knowledge of the area, understanding of the weather systems and educational training will make your journey enjoyable and safe.
